Our region has been waiting for the first wave of electric pickups for months, and Ford’s big reveal this Wednesday is just what many northern EV holdouts have been craving. The best part? You can see all of the features and finishes unveiled LIVE from Dearborn, Michigan.
The world premiere of the Ford F-150 Lightning will be livestreamed May 19 at 8:30 p.m. (CDT) from Ford World Headquarters at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yjisj5T0VqE. If the live celebration makes you want an electric truck of your own, you can reserve one THAT DAY by putting down a $100, fully refundable reservations deposit. You will have to wait a little while before you get the F-150 Lightning – deliveries won’t begin until next year.
Making a reservation on May 19 will give you more than all-electric bragging rights. If you reserve through a Ford dealership in one of our rural Minnesota or North Dakota communities, it will make a strong statement that our northern drivers are ready for more of these models to make their way to our sales lots. If you’re not sure an electric pickup is right for you, remember that the reservation is refundable, and that your small investment helps you support EV awareness in a unique way.
